CHF Gym summer Karate classes – July 2017 

JKG Karate have been asked to run karate classes at CHF Gym in Braintree throughout the summer holidays, the first one began on Tuesday 25th July and was a success, the children picked up the techniques well and showed great potential. 

Classes are £5 per person and are at 12-1pm. CHF Gym Braintree.

Disability Karate Grading – April 2017 

We held our second grading for the SEN and disability Karate students on the 29th April at our Westcliff Dojo.

We had a 100% pass rate after the karateka demonstrated excellent progress since the last grading (with some taking their first one).

The students demonstrated kihon, Kata and Kumite techniques with proficiency and spirit. A real inspirational group.

JKG Disability Karate – scouts visit, March 2017

Saturday 11th March saw the biggest disability karate class so far at #JKGKarate as we had a visit from 5th Westcliff scout group who joined in the class to have a go at karate and for our members to show them what they have learnt.

Club grading and first disability Karate grading 26th November 2016

Congratulations to all who passed the grading last weekend, the overall standard has even further improved, a standard that we should all be proud of. 

20 students passed and received their new belts, the coming weeks at training will address some of the areas highlighted that need more work. 

The grading as usual consisted of kihon, kata and kumite and everyone showed that they had prepared well for the grading.
