TKA English Karate Classic, Clacton – February 2017

The first competition of the year for the #JKGKarate squad was in Clacton-on-sea on the 5th February. 

With a few new members to the squad joining the more experienced competitors we had a good sized team of 12 who came away with 7 trophies, 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze. 

Results as follows:

Helen Marsh: 

Gold – 30years+ kata

 Silver – 40years+ kata

Bronze – senior women’s kata (16 years+) 

Charlotte Wilcock:

Gold – Senior novice to 6th kyu mixed kata (16 years+) 

David Wignall:

Silver  – Senior novice to 6th kyu mixed kata (16 years+)

Silver – Novice to 1st kyu men’s kumite 

Dan Wells: 

Bronze –  Senior novice to 6th kyu mixed kata (16 years+)
Well done to the rest of the squad who didn’t manage to place in the top 3 this time but showed an excellent attitude in competition and some good kata and kumite performances:
