TKA Essex Open, Clacton – March 2017

A small squad of 5 competed at the TKA Essex open in Clacton last weekend (12/3/17) coming away with more trophies to add to this years success.

Sebastian Lambert competed in a large kata category with Toby Fane, where he claimed the silver, Toby didn’t manage to win a place this time but more experience for him in the competition environment.

Amy Marsh competing in a strong mixed kata category came away with a well deserved bronze.

Helen Marsh added to her tally with a gold and two silvers in her kata events, making her total 7 medals so far this year.

Katya Jarvis fighting for the first time after a break to go to university came away with a bronze and unfortunately a trip to A&E after taking a kick in the eye!

The support that the squad and the parents all gave each other at this championship was the highlight of the day, everyone stayed to support each other even enduring a long wait for Katya’s event, a great atmosphere within the squad that made the day an enjoyable one!
